Gallagher will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2025.
As per the reports of Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast (12 January), Dan Kilpatrick added that West Ham United are current frontrunner to sign Chelsea playmaker Conor Gallagher.
It won’t be easy for West Ham to sign the Blues star as they will face competition from Tottenham. Both are looking to secure the signing this month.

Gallagher has still not scored a goal but has picked up four assists in 26 matches for the West London club this season across all competitions.
The Englishman will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2025. So, it would be tough for the Hammers to invest on this player on a normal price.
Gallagher can add value to West Ham and Tottenham. Meanwhile, Spurs have already invested in two signings this transfer window so they won’t invest much on a player whose asking price is high. It means, Chelsea may stop his sale and try again in the summer.
