Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined German clubs in the race to sign Chelsea forward Timo Werner in next summer’s transfer window. Earlier, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have shown interest in former Bundesliga player.

The German international arrived at Stamford Bridge in July 2020 from RB Leipzig. Werner has made 60 appearances in all competitions for the blues. Former RB Leipzig forward scored his first Premier League goal of the season against Southampton last week. He is not consistent in England’s top-flight. According to TransferMarketWeb, Atletico joins Bayern and Dortmund to find 25-year-old forward next summer.
