Chelsea and Germany defender Antonio Rudiger after stamping neck in Germany’s UEFA Nations League encounter against France.
Rudiger’s stamp on Pavard’s neck left slash marks all over it. Pavard was down for a while but he received treatment and played for the remainder of the match.
Rudiger tweeted an apology for Pavard. He posted an image of Pavard with the caption reading, “Sorry for Benjamin Pavard, it wasn’t intentional.
I have apologised to him right after it happened and I also want to use this opportunity to wish him a speedy recovery.”
The match at Munich eventually ended in a goalless draw. This is only the 13th goalless draw that Germany have been a part of in this century.
