Rudiger believes Hazard is the best player in the world after Messi

Chelsea and Germany defender Antonio Rudiger is of the opinion that his Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard is the second best player in the world.

Ever since Hazard joined Chelsea, he has often been considered to be among the best players in the world. The Belgian’s performances for club and country has been sensational in the past 10-12 months and he was terrific during the World Cup. Hazard scored three goals and provided two assists during the tournament. He received the Silver Ball for being the tournament’s second-best player.

Many have been telling that Kylian Mbappe can be the best player in the world in the future. However, Antonio Rudiger thinks that Hazard is better than Mbappe.

He said, “Mbappe is unbelievably fast, really good. To stop him, you have to do it as a team because alone, good luck! But for me the best in the world is Messi, then Hazard.”

Rudiger also believes that his Chelsea teammate Olivier Giroud can be important for the club. The 25-year old said, “I like him as a striker, he is tough and loves to use his body. Alvaro (Morata) trained the whole pre-season when Giroud was late after the World Cup. But Olivier can be very important for us like he was at the end of last season.

If he starts scoring, it will be a good competition for them.”
