Zola sad for Kepa's career situation at Chelsea

Gianfranco Zola has said that he feels sorry for the situation of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Chelsea goalkeeper has been in a bad form for quite some time now.

“First of all, knowing Kepa, I am sorry for this situation because he is a good goalie,” he told Sky Sports.

“When he came here two years ago, he came as a goalkeeper with a lot of potential but with a big burden above him, with the massive money that Chelsea paid. Now, it seems to me, he’s in a place where he’s not secure, he feels weak.

“I feel sorry because I’m 100% sure this is not the real Kepa – he just feels the pressure now and he’s making a lot of mistakes. But the potential, for me, is still there, he’s a player that can become a top goalkeeper.”

Zola added: “I don’t know (if he’ll stay at Chelsea), it depends on what Frank wants to do. Right now, you can see the player is not comfortable, because he feels insecure.

“It depends what Frank wants to do and what Kepa wants to do, but it’s very difficult for me to say what’s going to happen.”
