Thomas Tuchel refuses to give Abraham more opportunities.
Tammy Abraham is struggling to break into the first-team squad although he is Chelsea’s top scorer this season with 12 goals in 30 appearances.
He has been struggling with an ankle injury since Tuchel’s arrival and missed the bulk of the 16 games Tuchel was in charge of.
Tuchel insisted he trusts in his selection methods and gives an honest assessment of the 23-year old’s situation.

The Blues boss said: “Tammy had a bit of a rough time because I think he started twice or three times.
“He was substituted for tactical reasons, for tactical changes at half time.
“So, he could not get have the impact that we demand from him. He was injured and he lost the connection and the possibility to fight for his place in the squad.
“The squad played very well without him. We had a lot of results without him.
“Now we enter into the decisive part of the season, where it’s not easy to bring players into the shape we play.”
