Thomas Tuchel outlines plan for N'Golo Kante

A post shared by Chelsea FC (@chelseafc)

The ex-PSG coach revealed that he always wanted to sign Kante and will now deploy him in a more defensive midfield role.

“I think he’s the strongest in the double-six, in the centre, in the heart of the game,” said Tuchel who previously tried to sign Kante.

“It gives him a little bit, for me, more freedom than when he plays as a single six. We can use his energy, the volume in his game and his ability to recuperate and recover balls everywhere on the pitch.

“He’s a guy who is a big, big helper for everybody, with a big potential, with a mentality of a water-carrier, but at the same time a world-class player who played a crucial role in the World Cup win for France. And that’s why it’s super-important to have him.”

  1. TT must not neglect the talented BG as Ngolo has been nursing injuries more often than not…
Lampard has lost the Chelsea job but he maybe on the rader of Derby as he nearly got them promoted in his rookie managerial stint and will not hesitate to bring Billy and Conor down there even on a permanent basis at the expense of Chelsea
