Chelsea’s possible capture of Timo Werner has already sent around shockwaves around the Premier League.

The Blues have found a real scoop in securing the signature of the 24-year-old who has scored 34 goals this season already in the Budesliga. His arrival has now been addressed as a threat by his compatriot and soon to be club rival Bernd Leno, the goalkeeper of Arsenal.

Leno said, “I get on very well with Timo. He is very welcome in London,”

“I would be happy for him, Chelsea is a great choice, no question about it.”

“The Premier League is faster, more physical. But I think he’s good for it. Timo is an extremely fast player.”

“With his qualities and killer instinct, I’m afraid I have to say, he could be reinforcing Chelsea,”

The German striker has not quite completed his deal to West London but well-found sources have confirmed that the deal is all but done. Werner has a £53 million release clause in his contract and the Chelsea will just have to trigger that to land the player. They beat Liverpool and Manchester United to sign the player who will be earning a wage of £200,000 per week at the club.
