Chelsea’s Reece James is looking to leave the Stamford Bridge as he is not getting regular time. According to a report from Football.London, the 23-year-old is getting interest from Real Madrid.
The Blues defender has been his limited availability for the team since the 2019/20 season. Injury was the main factor. His contract still spans five more years.
His current contract with Chelsea will end in the summer of 2028. Real Madrid will face big trouble if they go for the defender in the summer of 2024.
The 23-year-old scored two goals and two assists in 24 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions. Reece James adeptly clears the defensive lines to alleviate potential dangers.
The English full-back is a versatile defender and he can play as a centre-back or even as a right-sided wide player.
