Chelsea have officially unveiled new manager Thomas Tuchel.

The former PSG and Borussia Dortmund manager has been given the reins at Stamford Bridge. It comes after Chelsea announced the sacking of Frank Lampard.

The Blues had been in a dire situation for the last two months after a bright start to the new season. Frank was given heavy backing in the market after an impressive season last time around.

However, he has not only failed to gel the new team, he has also it would seem lost popular support in the dressing room. Bad results, big players failing to deliver and Frank’s writing was on the wall by January.

5 defeats in the last 8 league games only confirmed that Chelsea hierarchy were not only furious with their manager but ready to roll the dice towards a new direction.

Appointing Tuchel will definitely be a new sense of trajectory for the Blues. Although the German has a reputation for being at odds with the boards of the clubs he has worked with, Chelsea are taking their risk to ensure their German duo of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz delivers better under the tutelage of their native coach.

Tuchel’s first match will be against Wolves tomorrow night.
