Will he stay or will he leave?

This saga is becoming yet another one that seems to be dragging on to the point that nobody has any idea what is going on. Both Frank Lampard and Willian himself have remained coy on the subject when questioned recently, but both seemingly point towards being happy if he stays.

But the fact of the matter is, time is running out if Chelsea do have any desire to keep hold of Willian, he will be free to agree a deal with a new club in January. And if the rumors are to be believed, he isn’t short of clubs wanting to agree that deal with him.

Willian will be out of contract at the end of the campaign and is free to pen a pre-contract agreement with potential admirers away from the English topflight from January 1st. Speaking about his future at Chelsea, Willian stressed he is not worried, but the issue of a new contract rests with the club.

“I am calm, I am relaxed. I wait for the club, there is no update on the contract talks” he told London Evening Standard, who could not get Chelsea’s nod to join Manchester United under Jose Mourinho in 2018.
