Chelsea fans were once again caught in the middle of a racist chant after their match against Brighton.
It is being reported that three fans were given a talking to by the police for their anti-semitic chanting on a train following their 2-1 win over Brighton.
“Officers received reports of antisemitic chanting on board a train … at around 4pm yesterday afternoon,” a British Transport Police statement said. “BTP attended and three men were spoken to by officers, but at this time no one has come forward to make a complaint.”
This is now the third reported incident within a span of 10 days against Chelsea fans for racist behaviour. The first incident saw Raheem Sterling get abused in the most ill-mannered way by a section or rather a particular individual in Stamford Bridge.
The second incident was the reported anti-semitic chanting of a few fans at the away match against Vidi in the Europa League. The final incident was this Brighton case and it is now furthering dooming the image of the club.
To make matters ironical for this Chelsea fan base, we must remind them that the majority of the success the club had is under Russian owner Roman Abramovich, who himself is a Jew!
Let’s hope for the sake of football and humanity, these individuals are given harsher lessons as a punishment for their discrimination.
