Chelsea ace Eden Hazard picked up an injury last weekend while playing against Brighton in the league but is now expected to be fit for selection.

The Belgian captain started once again as a false nine for Sarri’s Chelsea and produced a match-winning performance. He was however, taken off towards the end with an injury. He limped off towards the end of the match which left Chelsea fans worried. However, Chelsea boss Sarri has comfroted fans by saying that the injury is not serious.

“Eden is okay. It’s only a knock, only a knock,” Sarri told a news conference.  “I spoke with the doctor and it’s not a big problem. Maybe one day to rest, two days at most.”

Sarri will need Hazard for the rest of the seaon due to his versatility and Chelsea’s lack of options up front.

“I think that, for us, he could be very important in this position,” Sarri added. “He’s very able to come out and play with his team-mates, very able to create spaces. Now I think that, in that position, he has to improve in attacking the box.”

Hence it remains to be seen if Sarri does risk Hazard in a domestic cup match or save Hazard for the weekend clash against Leicester City.
