Mauricio Pochettino has delivered a mixed injury update.

The Blues will be visiting Manchester City on Saturday night for their 25th Premier League game.

Chelsea will be without key defender Thiago Silva who has suffered a groin issue whereas midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has suffered yet another setback himself.

On a positive note, both Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto are available following their knocks in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace last time out.

“Minor injury (for Silva), but he is out for tomorrow. After that, we need to assess him day by day.”

“Carney suffered a twisted ankle two days ago and he’s out, but Levi and Malo are okay. They recovered well and they are available for tomorrow.”

Mauricio Pochettino has announced that first-team goalkeeper Robert Sanchez will be back in the squad after being sidelined for two months with a knee injury.

He added: “Robert Sanchez is available, which is good news. It is good to recover a player that was playing a lot. To be available again is a good thing for the team.

“It is very good to be back. You never know in football what can happen, it is better to have all the player available as soon as possible and be ready to play if we decide to choose them.”

But Chelsea will be without Benoit Badiashile as the defender is set to miss four weeks through injury himself.
