Chelsea are expected to overhaul their side this summer after an underwhelming campaign last season. They finished 5th in the league and will miss the Champions League in the upcoming season.
Though Blues ended the campaign on a bright note after defeating Manchester United in the FA Cup final. But they need reinforcements in key areas to compete for Silverware in the upcoming season.
They have been behind in the transfer window compared to other Premier League rivals as they are still yet to clarify their managerial situation. Antonio Conte remains the head coach despite being heavily linked with a summer exit.
But the English side feel confident that they will land former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri and want to provide him with new additions. They have accelerated their transfer plans this week after direct talks with the 59 year old.
The Premier League giants are looking for a new striker as their last summer signing Alvaro Morata has been heavily linked with a summer exit with his former club Juventus showing interest in him.
Despite a dazzling start in England, with eight goals in his first seven games, the 25 year old struggled to find his feet in the Premier League last season. He just scored 15 goals 47 appearances in all competitions during the 2017-18 campaign, with 11 of them coming in the Premier League.
The Club has been heavily linked with a move for Gonzalo Higuain. He joined the Turin Side from Napoli for a fee of €90 million paid in two installments in 2016.
The Argentine has been a regular for the club since joining them and has won two consecutive Serie A titles. He also helped his team to reach the Champions League final in the 2016/2017 campaign but were defeated by his former club Real Madrid.
The 30 year old was a crucial player for the Italian side last season, scoring 23 goals and assisting 7 in 50 appearances and helped his team to win their 7th consecutive Serie A title.
Chelsea have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Gonzalo Higuain for €60 million, according to Sportmediaset (via Fox Sports). The transfer is expected to be made official after the club appoints Sarri as their new manager.
The Argentina International is also open to moving to England but his deal may depend on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been heavily linked with them in the past few days.
