Jorginho Thinks Frank Lampard Was Not Suited For Chelsea Job

Jorginho believes the Chelsea job came too soon for Frank Lampard.

After a failed 18 months on the job, Roman Abramovich decided to fire the club’s record goalscorer from the hot seat.

Jorginho was not the most popular player in Lampard’s line up, something which has changed drastically under Thomas Tuchel. The midfielder is enjoying his football again at Stamford Bridge and revealed his thoughts on Lampard.

“Look, I’ll be really sincere here on Lampard,” he told ESPN Brasil. “I believe, given he was a legend at the club, he skipped some steps necessary for learning before moving to a big club.

“He came to a club where he is a legend, without having experience at other clubs. I think he came too soon, skipped a few steps ahead and wasn’t ready for a job at this level, to be honest.”

Chelsea have been beaten just twice under Tuchel this season. They are through to the FA Cup final and are also about to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final.
