Joao Felix has joined Stamford Bridge on a six-month loan.

The 23-year-old forward has made two appearances for the Blues and was disappointed to miss out on three points against West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

His debut for Chelsea ended in disappointment as he received a straight red card that resulted in a three-match ban.

He scored his first goal for the Blues against the Hammers thanks to a sublime pass from January record-signing Enzo Fernandez.

The Atletico Madrid loanee ensures that he is enjoying his life at Chelsea who is expected to play a more critical role in the second half of the season.

If he manages to keep up this level of play, Todd Boehly could persuade Atletico to sign the Portuguese international on a permanent deal in the summer.

Felix gives his verdict on his life at Stamford Bridge.

He said: “I think we did enough to win, but this is football and you have to accept that West Ham defended well throughout the game.

“In the first 30 minutes, we had the ball in the net three times, two obviously cancelled out for offside, but at this point we were looking strong.

“Playing in this team with the quality around me, it’s easy. We all connect well and I think there are signs of that happening.

“Okay, we didn’t get the win on this occasion but we can build on this for the next game and hopefully get the three points going forward.”
