Chelsea boss Graham Potter talked about Mason Mount’s future at Stamford Bridge. He offers his verdict on the contractual situation of Mason Mount.

Speaking to the media ahead of the Southampton game (h/t Evening Standard), Blues boss Graham Potter offers his verdict on the complicated contractual situation of Mason Mount by hoping things get resolved soon.

Mount’s contract will expire in 18 months. If he does not sign an extension before the summer, he will go into the end-of-season period with just a year left in the deal. The 24-year-old is currently one of the lower-paid players in the squad.

Speaking about the situation and hoping for it to get sorted out soon, here’s Potter (h/t Evening Standard):

“It is always complicated. There’s always negotiations. It is best that I leave it between Mason and the club.“It is the best way for that to be dealt with. As far as I am concerned, he is fantastic to work with. He is an important player for us. I hope it gets resolved quickly.”

The England international has a lot of potential to become a candidate to lead Chelsea in the near future.
