Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos has returned to club after loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
The young Brazilian midfielder has returned to his parent club after a short loan spell with Nottingham Forest.
The 19-year-old midfielder moved to Nottingham on a season-long deal in the summer, but he has made only two appearances during his short spell.
Santos looks like an exciting prospect and has a big future ahead but is yet to feature for the first team at Chelsea.
Another spell in the second half of the season would make sense for the youngster as the current Chelsea squad is bloated with players in his position.
Chelsea would be hoping to revive the career of the Chelsea wonderkid after this mini setback this campaign.
Fabrizio Romano explains there are a few options available for the 19-year-old midfielder.
“Another important story at Chelsea is Andrey Santos returning from his difficult loan spell at Nottingham Forest,” Romano reported.
“The plan remains for him to go out on loan again for the next six months. There is interest from many clubs but loan spots situation is not easy so Chelsea will take some time before understanding how to proceed with that domino.
“As for when Santos could be involved in Chelsea’s first-team, their plans for next season plans are not decided now so Chelsea will see in May/June how’s the situation and then assess Andrey’s situation for next year.”
