Eden Hazard Offered Back To Chelsea At Cut-Price Deal

Eden Hazard Offered Back To Chelsea At Cut-Price Deal

Chelsea have reportedly been offered back Eden Hazard in recent weeks.

Real Madrid are uncertain whether the Belgian will ever fulfill his potential at the Bernabeu.

With Carlo Ancelotti taking over from Zinedine Zidane, the Galacticos are looking to make sweeping changes to the squad. To do that, they need to trim the wage bill and disperse off much of the deadweight that has accumulated over the years.

Hazard might not be a deadweight but his record signing from Chelsea can be deemed as a flop. Not only has the winger struggled for fitness, he has hardly shown any signs of excellence when on the pitch. For a player into his 30s, it makes little sense for Real to bank all of their expectations on Hazard.

Chelsea made huge profit off of the sale of Hazard. They surpassed the £120m mark through transfer fees and add-ons. Real Madrid are due to complete further payments based on appearances and incentives and they desperately want to get rid of the obligations.

Of course, facilitating a transfer back to Chelsea won’t be easy. The finances make less sense for the Blues who have ambitious plans of restructuring under Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea Great Zola Reveals The Serie A Players He Will Be Watching Closely

Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola will be keeping his eye on some top Serie A talents this season.

We have just witnessed an exciting European Championship where Italy went home the winners.

Fans got to see some of Serie A’s best talents on the pitch and will be expecting to see more of them at club level.

“I expect a lot from Federico Chiesa and Paulo Dybala. The Argentinean struggled due to injuries last season, but he has amazing qualities,” Zola told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Cristiano Ronaldo will score more than 20 goals. However, it remains to be seen whether his movements will suit Juventus’ system.

“I am curious to see José Mourinho at Roma. He has a good team and José has the experience to handle difficult situations and raise the level.

“I hope this will be Nicolò Zaniolo’s season, he can become a star for the Azzurri.

“Napoli can do well if Kalidou Kouliably stays. Victor Osimhen is perfect for Luciano Spalletti, because he attacks the space with the right tempo and Insigne has football in his DNA. He can be the Zola of the next Serie A campaign, even if I used to score more goals.”

If this summer is anywhere near as busy as last summer, the Chelsea board have their work cut out once more.

Last year, the board broke the bank to bring in some huge signings and this culminated in the club claiming the biggest game win on the biggest stage of them all: the Champions League final. This season the assault will be on the Premier League, and with that in mind, we thought it a good idea to have a transfer round-up of the potential signings that could be made this summer. This should give us a better indication of where the club is going and what the future holds for the blues.

Antoine Griezmann

Because Barcelona will not be able to command such a high cost for Greizmann, he will most likely move on loan. Atletico Madrid, the forward’s former club, is rumoured to be interested in bringing him back, although Barcelona would prefer he leave the country. Luis Suarez had departed Barcelona on a free transfer the previous season after being deemed surplus to requirements. He was instrumental in Atletico Madrid’s league-winning season last season, and Barca will not want a repetition with Greizmann.

Greizmann’s solitary trophy was the Copa del Rey this season, prompting detractors to claim he has not lived up to his £107 million price tag. However, with his experience and goals, the World Cup winner would be a welcome addition to Thomas Tuchel’s squad. Greizmann will be seeking fresh pastures after a difficult few years with Barcelona, even though he is still undoubtedly at the top of his game.

Erling Haaland

Chelsea has been informed that signing Borussia Dortmund and Norway attacker Erling Haaland this summer will be a near-impossible task. After scoring 48 goals in 51 appearances for club and country last season, Haaland has become one of the most sought-after players in the world. He has a £70 million release clause in his Dortmund contract that can be exercised next summer. Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid have all expressed interest in purchasing him this summer at a premium price.

According to a source close to the talks, Dortmund does not want to trade Haaland mainly because they are already allowing Jadon Sancho to join United in a £73 million deal this month. According to Sky in Germany, Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, demands a €40 million (£34.2 million) commission as part of any deal for the Dortmund striker.

Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea is expected to make a move for Lukaku, 28, according to the Guardian. He is the most cost-effective option. The owners of Inter want to sell players to balance the books, but they don’t want to lose Lukaku. With manager Antonio Conte having gone and players like Achraf Hakimi and Lautaro Martinez linked with exits, it appears that the core of this Inter team is about to be ripped out. Since joining Inter from Manchester United in the summer of 2019, he has been excellent. Inter finished second in 2019-20 and won the title for the first time in 11 years, with 64 goals in 95 games, including 47 in 72 in Serie A.

Joules Kounde

According to rumours in Spain, Chelsea is attempting to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, while Manchester United remains interested. Kounde is one of Europe’s most promising defenders. He has had two strong seasons since joining Sevilla from Bordeaux in 2019. Despite not having made his international debut at the time of the announcement, his performance earned him a spot in France’s Euro 2020 squad.

He did make one appearance at the competition, but now his attention is focused on his club’s future. Last summer, he was the target of Premier League attention, with Manchester City attempting to recruit him before opting for Ruben Dias. Sevilla will not sell the 22-year-old for a low price and may demand that his €80 million release clause be paid in full. However, he is still a target for several Premier League clubs.

Declan Rice

Declan Rice has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea for the second summer in a row. Thomas Tuchel is said to admire the West Ham United midfielder, one of England’s standout performers during their Euro 2020 campaign, in which they reached the final. According to Eurosport, the Blues are considering making an initial approach for Rice to test the club’s resolve. However, any potential transfer for the Blues could hit two major stumbling hurdles, both of which concern money. According to the source, Rice is asking for a weekly salary of £200,000, which would make him the club’s biggest earner.

Rice is rumoured to be considering leaving West Ham, but the Hammers are adamant about keeping the England international. So much so that the Hammers have set an £80 million price tag on his head, which might deter any possible suitors like Chelsea and Manchester United, both of whom are rumoured to be interested.

Kurt Zouma Would Be A Perfect Fit At Wolves

Kurt Zouma Would Be A Perfect Fit At Wolves

Kurt Zouma is attracting serious interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Chelsea are considering selling one of their centre-back option to fund the incoming of a new one.

Thomas Tuchel is aiming to improve his backline with plenty of big names on his radar. Sevilla’s Jules Kounde has been heavily linked to Chelsea. Manchester United are offering strong competition for Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.

“Zouma is obviously a good player,” Express reporter, Luke Hatfield said to FFC. “I think he’s impressed with Chelsea and it was a spell at Everton before then.

“He’s a player who I think would probably fit in at Wolves; he’s probably that type of player [they’re missing]. They do need another centre-back.”

Zouma saw his minutes diminish after a promising start to the 2020/21 season. He has fallen down the pecking order under Tuchel even in a three-man backline. Zouma might be better off taking his chances elsewhere.

Danny Murphy believes Chelsea should have gone for Ben White.

The 23-year old has agreed on a £50million transfer to Arsenal who has been one of the consistent defenders in the Premier League last term.

He is set to become a part of Arteta’s XI and Danny Murphy was surprised that Chelsea did not make a move for the Brighton defender.

‘Ultimately, as a player, you can only make a decision based on the opportunity in front of you,’ Murphy told talkSPORT.

‘If I’m Ben White, I’m going to Arsenal, because they are the ones after me and it’s a step up, it’s a huge club.

‘It’s a massive opportunity because he will play every week, it’s a great environment to play your football and a better environment than Brighton.

‘Is it a progression in his career? Yes it is. It’s easy to look at last season and think Arsenal won’t be competitive. But they could get into the top-four next season.

‘You can only move to a club that wants you. I agree that his quality and potential is really good and I’m surprised that Manchester United or Chelsea haven’t come in for him.’

Chelsea Shopping Timo Werner Around Europe

Chelsea Shopping Timo Werner Around Europe

Timo Werner has been made available by Chelsea this summer.

According to reports, The Blues would not mind parting ways with Werner.

Sky Germany understands that Chelsea might even use Werner as an exchange piece for Erling Haaland. Thomas Tuchel is heavily involved in convincing Haaland into joining them. Whether that will be this summer or the next remains to be seen.

Werner has endured a difficult first season at Chelsea. He arrived with plenty of hype but failed to impress. He even had a mediocre showing in the Euros for Germany, clearly showcasing a loss in quality since leaving RB Leipzig.

Chelsea need a more potent threat up front and might want to cash in on Werner fast. Signing Haaland will be no easy feat. Apart from the wages, BVB has put up a price tag of over £150m if any team wants to sign the forward in this window.

Next summer that price will be halved through Haaland’s release clause. Still, there will be the concern of agent fees and competing against various other European big guns. Werner is still fairly young. He could be given time to turn things around at Stamford Bridge.

OFFICIAL: Marc Guehi Leaves Chelsea For Crystal Palace On 5-Year Deal

Marc Guehi officially left Chelsea for Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Blues received £18m in transfer fees for one of their academy products.

Guehi was highly rated coming through the Chelsea youth ranks and was tipped to even break into the senior side. Unfortunately, he never got the opportunity to impress.

He told the Palace website after signing, “It was a big decision for me (to make a permanent move) because I’ve been at Chelsea for such a long time, since the age of seven.

“Emotionally it was difficult after being at one place for such a long time and knowing that you wont be there.”

Speaking about his time at Chelsea, Guehi continued: “Being at Chelsea really helped me in my development, getting better and helping myself excel.

“I said goodbye to everyone, to the coaches that coached me since I was young and the people that helped me get to this stage. I’m extremely grateful for their help.”

Chelsea are doing well in terms of player sales. They are already nearing £50m in revenue this summer with more players expected to follow.

Thomas Tuchel is ignoring former boss Frank Lampard’s advice

Tammy Abraham will push for a move this summer.

The 23-year old forward has been a regular under former manager Frank Lampard where he managed to score 15 goals in 34 appearances in the 2019/20 season.

However, since Tuchel’s arrival back in January, Abraham has gone down the pecking order and it seems like the German coach is happy to let Tammy leave this summer.

He along with Callum Hudson-Odoi was included in a deal in pursuit of Erling Haaland this summer but Borussia Dortmund has rejected the offer.

Chelsea are looking to sell many of the fringe players in the squad and Tammy could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this transfer window.

“I’m very happy, I’ve had numerous conversations with Tammy because I have a good relationship with him,” said Lampard during his time as Blues boss.

“He got his goal and he deserves it in terms of stretching teams, taking them long, setting off our press, jumping in.

“Not happy to just jump five yards but get the team up the pitch as the first man off the ball. Those things are very important for me. Sometimes it’s about the unseen.”

Chelsea will hand a new contract to Mason Mount

Chelsea will be upgrading Mason Mount’s contract.

The English midfielder has been one of the star performers for Chelsea last season and was instrumental in helping the Blues win the Champions League.

He scored six goals and created five assists in 36 Premier League games for the Blues last term.

His performances at club level made him earn a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England XI where he played five games at the European Championship.

Mount’s contract with the Blues is set to expire in 2024 and the club are willing to hand him an improved contract according to Ian McGarry.

McGarry said on the Transfer Window Podcast: “Another player involved in a contract negotiation is Mason Mount.

“The club would like to upgrade his current contract after what has been a developmental but successful season for the player which has concluded in him playing in the Euro 2020 final for England.

“This is a player who was obviously promoted by Frank Lampard before he was sacked and then also put faith in by Thomas Tuchel.

“That contract upgrade could mean anything up to a £50,000-a-week pay-rise on his current salary, which is around £80,000 a week, reflecting and fairly obviously just what an important player he has become for the Stamford Bridge club in terms of their success in terms of the Champions League and a Premier League title challenge next season.”
