Chelsea to extend contract for Mason Mount

Mount’s current contract will expire in 2024, the last of which he signed in the summer of 2019.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea will hold talks with Mason Mount and step up their attempts to sign him on a new contract soon.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has also left a hint that Mason Mount will soon be handed a new contract.

The England midfielder’s current deal runs to 2024.

James has signed a new deal at the Blues which is going to keep him at the club till 2028. Mount’s current contract will expire in 2024, the last of which he signed in the summer of 2019.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted back in June: “Next Chelsea player to discuss new deal will be Mason Mount. Talks are already in place since long time and he’s waiting for the club to send new, final proposal. Negotiations will continue soon.”

And now Boehly has decided to like the tweet – a hint that Mount could be expected to be sign a new contract.
