Chelsea plotting a move for Flamengo forward Pedro

Chelsea considering a move for 26-year-old Pedro.

The Blues signed both Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson earlier this season to add firepower to the Chelsea starting lineup.

Jackson has chipped in only nine goals in all competitions and has been inconsistent most of the time.

The Senegal international has missed numerous big opportunities throughout the season and will not be viewed as the main striker next season.

The striker market is expected to be hot in the summer window as several Premier League clubs are interested in that position.

Chelsea are heavily linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney but it remains to be seen whether they can afford any of the two.

Flamengo forward Pedro has emerged as one of the players on Chelsea’s radar and will cost at least €25 million.

The 26-year-old is regarded as one of the best players who’s still plying his trade in Brazil and earned six caps for the national team.

Pedro has a release clause of €100 million but the Brazilian club are not demanding anywhere close to that amount.

His contract with Flamengo expires in 2027, so they are in a strong position to retain his services but Chelsea could try to secure a deal for €25m.
