Chelsea are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha as they wait for their appeal to get accepted.
The Blues went against the punishment of a season-long transfer ban and are currently waiting to hear back from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
If they are allowed to sign players in January, there is a high chance a few noticeable names will leave and enter the Stamford Bridge. Willian is nearing the end of his contract and the Brazilian has left his future up to the Chelsea authorities.
When asked if he has been approached for an extension, the 31-year-old said, “No, not yet. Honestly, I’m happy here. I feel happy to play for this club, but this situation is not in my hands. It’s in theirs (Chelsea’s). I wait for them. They know what I want, what I want to do. They already know, so I wait for them.”
Another natural winger, Pedro is also tipped to leave Chelsea in January. The Spaniard is also nearing the end of his contract and has drastically fallen in the club’s pecking order. It is clear Frank Lampard wants to clear out the old and build his team around younger and fresher talents.
If both were to leave, the Blues will need some cover on the flanks. For now, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic are their newest stars but bringing in Zaha could add more depth to the position.
