Mohammed Kudus, a winger for Ajax, is a target for Chelsea

In the summer 2020 transfer window, Kudus agreed to join Ajax on a five-year deal with Nordsjaelland for an anticipated €9 million. Since then, he has established a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young wingers.

The 22-year-old was a key player for his team last season. In all competitions, he scored 18 goals and provided seven assists, including goals against Liverpool and Napoli in the group stages of the Champions League.

The wide player has also won 24 caps for Ghana’s national team. At the World Cup in Qatar, he started each of the Black Stars’ three games, scoring twice in the 3-2 triumph over South Korea. Chelsea has a high demand for Kudus. Ajax and the Blues have spoken about a transaction, and an initial offer is anticipated.

Mauricio Pochettino, the club’s new manager, has a massive challenge ahead of him when he takes over at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea had their worst season in years last year, finishing in 12th place without taking home a trophy despite spending more than €600 million on transfers. The residents of south-west London have sold a number of high-profile athletes this summer. Twelve members of the first team from the previous season have left, including Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, and Kai Havertz.

Two seasoned players have arrived in the interim. Nicolas Jackson was hired from Villarreal, and Christopher Nkunku was acquired from RB Leipzig. Pochettino will take over at Chelsea with a match against Liverpool at home. After that, there will be a journey to the London Stadium for a match against West Ham United, and the month will end with a stop at newly promoted Luton Town.
