Axel Disasi’s transfer terms have been agreed upon by Chelsea and Monaco

For the services of Disasi, the Blues will pay an estimated €45 million, and the Frenchman is anticipated to sign a five-year initial contract with an optional additional 12-month extension. Disasi is on track to join Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, and Lesley Ugochukwu as Chelsea’s fourth summer signings, despite interest from Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester United.

Wesley Fofana’s long-term injury, which will cause him to miss significant portions of the forthcoming season, has caused Chelsea to add defensive cover, and Marc Guehi has recently been linked to a move to Stamford Bridge.

Disasi would be the second player to leave Monaco for Chelsea this year following the transfer of Benoit Badiashile in January, but the Premier League heavyweights have chosen to sign him. Monaco has already signed Mohammed Salisu as a substitute for Disasi after reaching an agreement.

Given Inter Milan’s interest and Disasi’s anticipated arrival, Trevoh Chalobah is likely to leave the team. This summer, Chalobah, 24, was rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge, and it appears that he will finally leave his childhood team. Chelsea are still in negotiations with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Moises Caicedo, so their transfer business is far from over.

The west Londoners, who have already had four offers for Caicedo rejected, continue to be huge admirers of both Southampton’s Romeo Lavia and the Ecuadorian midfielder. In order to give Kepa Arrizabalaga some competition, Chelsea is also looking for a new custodian, and a move for Robert Sanchez has been suggested.
