Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has given an update on his first team status.
The situation of injuries at Chelsea is quite dire at the moment.
The Blues already have a paper thin squad and now adding injuries to crucial players means that Lampard is bereft of options, especially up front.
“Pulisic is still injured. Kante is injured. Tammy Abraham is injured,” the manager said at the pre-Bournemouth press conference.
Lamps told reporters: “He [Ruben] was in a really good run of form last year, playing well and he hasn’t kicked a ball for me,” Lamps said of the midfielder. “He is one of the most exciting midfield players and English players.”Â
Lampard also had unfortunate news on CHO who is also still ruled out.
This means Chelsea hardly have any players left up front. They do not have the star power up front anway after the departure of Hazard and with 50% of their wingers injured, Lampard was forced to play the likes of Mount and Barkley in the wings over the likes of Pedro, who is simply below average.
Chelsea take on Bournemouth knowing that winning is the only way to keep their CL hopes alive.
