The current deal has been canceled.
A new sponsor is set to be revealed.
Chelsea’s shirt sponsor, Yokohama Tyres, will step down from the lead sponsorship role next season – with a replacement set to be announced imminently. Although it is unclear how the deal was sourced, CSM Sport & Entertainment has been retained by the club to secure new sponsors.
Yokohama’s decision to quit ends a five-year stint as the club’s main shirt sponsor. The Japanese brand signed the deal in February 2015. It is worth a maximum of £40m per year from 2015-16 to 2019-20. Yokohama will retain links with the club as the club’s Official Global Tyre Partner.
In a statement, the club said Yokohama had experienced “significant growth in global brand and product awareness” during its time at Chelsea. The statement added: “Now, as a world-famous brand, Yokohama will use the continuing partnership with Chelsea to focus on new objectives, engaging consumers and increasing sales in strategic markets.”
Thus, connectivity company Three has officialy been announced as the new shirt sponsor starting from season 2020/2021.
