Chelsea determined to bring Brighton centre-forward Evan Ferguson

Brighton will not consider offers of under £100m for Evan Ferguson due to his potential.

Chelsea are showing interest in Brighton & Hove Albion centre-forward Evan Ferguson. The Blues want to bring this young talent to Stamford Bridge. However, the club will face the competition to sign him.

The 19-year-old is one of the best young talents in the Premier League. He has netted six goals and provided one assist in 24 appearances for Brighton this season.

Man United and Man City are huge admirers of the Brighton star. They are monitoring the Ireland international. His contract will expire in the summer of 2029.

He signed a new contract at Seagulls last year. Brighton have asked for a big asking price. They will not consider offers of under £100m for the 19-year-old forward due to his potential.

Evan Ferguson has scored 16 goals and provided five assists in 53 appearances for Brighton across all competitions. As per the London Evening Standard, the Blues are determined to secure his signature.

Brighton CEO Paul Barber recently hinted that Ferguson could be on the move in the near future. He said, “At some point in the future, Evan’s gonna be playing at an even higher level if his trajectory continues as it is. We want to make sure that we do everything we can to prepare him for that. Not just on the field, but off the field as well, give him as much support as we can,” he told Soccerex TV.

“I think, as I said before, that the higher level we can play at, the more chance we’ve got of keeping our top players for longer.

“It doesn’t mean to say that we can keep them forever, because players will have their own ambitions of the club they want to play for, and the league they want to play in, and the competitions they want to perform in. And we have to be respectful of that.”
