Chelsea eyes cut-price deal for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in January transfer window

According to Fabio Santini in the most recent transfer story, Chelsea is allegedly considering a low-ball deal for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, with a possible £34 million transfer fee in the upcoming January window.

Santini said: “Juventus would sell Vlahovic immediately, even in January. He has been a huge investment that so far has not even half paid them back. The problem is that there are no offers so it becomes difficult to think about his sale.

“He was bought for around €80m but Juventus have already put the idea out of their heads of getting that kind of money back. Until a while ago, I know of an interest from Chelsea with a €60m, but now I think Vlahovic can leave for half of what he was paid”.

The 23-year-old forward from Serbia, who cost an astounding €80 million when he signed with Juventus, has fallen short of the high expectations that accompanied his arrival.

Vlahovic’s goal totals this season have improved, although they are still below the club’s expectations despite this. Juventus is willing to part ways with the youthful prodigy, who has struggled to live up to his high price tag after just five goals in 13 Serie A games.

According to sources, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino sees Vlahovic as a useful addition to the team and as a potential answer to the Blues’ ongoing search for a top striker.

If he can regain the form that once made him a standout talent at Fiorentina, the Serbian may be of great assistance to the London club, which is in desperate need of attacking reinforcements.

Despite the rumored interest, no formal offers have been made as of yet, therefore there is still uncertainty around the possible transfer. Juventus is indicating that it is willing to negotiate and let go of the player who hasn’t performed up to par.

Chelsea fans are excitedly awaiting the January transfer window to see if their team would pursue Vlahovic and sign him for a substantially lower price, offering a possible steal for a player who was once seen as a top prospect.

All eyes are on Stamford Bridge to witness the unfolding of this transfer saga over the next few weeks, as the situation remains uncertain.
