Cheslea are open to selling summer signing Robert Sanchez.

The Spaniard made his permanent switch to Stamford Bridge earlier this season in a deal worth £25million from Brighton & Hove Albion.

They also signed the talented Djordje Petrovic for £14million from New England Revolution.

This was part of a major overhaul in the goalkeeping department, as both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy were allowed to leave the West London club.

But Sanchez managed to keep only five clean sheets in his first 19 games for the Blues and spent the last two months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old has played a crucial role in Chelsea’s downfall this campaign with some error-prone displays.

In his absence, Petrovic has taken his place between the sticks in the last 16 games for the Blues.

He has been impressive for Mauricio Pochettino’s side but Chelsea are willing to sign a top goalkeeper when the summer transfer window commences.

Sanchez’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2030 and the club would want to recoup the entire £25million they paid for the Spaniard in the summer.

The Spaniard is not considered a long-term number one and could target Arsenal outcast Aaron Ramsdale for the No.1 role.
