Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are currently serving a transfer ban.
The Blues are prevented from signing players until the start of summer next year. However, the management at Chelsea are confident that the Blues will be able to appear and overturn their transfer ban soon.
They have a hearing coming up in the next week and should their appeal to overturn the ban succeed, Chelsea will back in the market in January.
The players in the Blues camp are now young and exciting and Chelsea are looking like a resurgent unit. However, if there were one area Frank would have to assess, according to experts it would be that of left back.
The Blues currently have Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso in their team. Alonso is a trusted experienced player but has fallen off the pace in recent days. As for Emerson, the dynamic Brazilian is a little unreliable on a regular basis.
What has made the situation even more exciting is the fact that Ben Chilwell of Leicester is proving to be a brilliant player. There are few players who can be of world class quality currently not playing for a big team and Chelsea will know they will have to snap up Chilwell before anybody else comes calling.
The latest reports have once again confirmed that Lampard will have a 150 million pound transfer budget and he would itching to use it to buy Chilwell. He does seem to fit the bill for Lampard.
