Amidst Chelsea’s preparations to lose Eden Hazard, the club is also now reportedly being made to work to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hazard’s departure has become common knowledge now, so much so that in fact it is being considered that an official deal will be announced in the coming hours by Real Madrid.

On top of that, with Chelsea’s transfer embargo coming up, the Blues could be set for a transfer season. They will be thankful they already signed Christian Pulisic in the January transfer window who will be joining the club for the upcoming season.

Apart from Pulisic, Chelsea have two seasoned campaigners in Willian and Pedro. However, both players are north of 30 and look over the hill and has shown time and again they are not star wingers who can carry the team throughout the season.

Hence, a large chunk of Chelsea’s hopes are dependent on Callum Hudson-Odoi, the promising young star who was sacredly chased by Bayern Munich in the summer.

However, reports earlier had said that Chelsea were close to signing an extension with Callum but Bayern chiefs have dismissed that report indicating they are still very much n the race to bring in the England international.

“You shouldn’t always believe what is said or written over there,” Salihamidzic reacted, when asked about the claims.
