Bayern Munich joined competition to acquire Chelsea captain Reece James

Reece James’ contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire in the summer of 2028.

As per the new reports of Football.London, Bayern Munich have joined the competition to sign Chelsea captain Reece James. Former Chelse manager Thomas Tuchel wants to sign the talented Blues player.

The 23-year-old is a product of Cobham’s youth academy, and he remains highly valuable to the club. Chelsea encountered difficulties in maintaining a stable position in the Premier League.

He has scored two goals and provided two assists in 24 appearances for the West London club across all competitions. He has only made a single appearance for Chelsea after picking up yet another injury.

Reece James’ contract at Stamford Bridge is set to expire in the summer of 2028. Bayern has to offer a good price to get him on board. The English full-back excels in the art of recovering the ball. James possesses the versatility to function as a centre-back or even as a wide player on the right, depending on the manager’s tactical instructions.
