Timo Werner had a disappointing phase with Chelsea. He was signed from Leipzig in the summer of 2020. Likewise, his teammate Ziyech came to Stamford Bridge in the same close-season after a barnstorming period with the Ajax team.
Ziyech made 13 appearances for Chelsea this term and scored just one goal. Meanwhile, Werner scored three goals for Blues in 13 matches across all competition. Both failed to replicate what they had done with their previous clubs.
