Romelu Lukaku is happy at Inter Milan and will not leave in the summer.
The Belgian striker was expected to leave Inter Milan this summer after Antonio Conte decided to leave the Nerazzurri after steering the club to their first Serie A title in 11 years.
Lukaku was at the top of Chelsea’s striker wishlists along with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
But it seems like the former Chelsea player will be happy to extend his stay with the Italian champions.
‘Romelu is happy at Inter,’ his representative, Federico Pastorello, told reporters on Thursday.
‘He has a contract so there are no problems.’
Earlier last week Romelu Lukaku revealed that he would be happy to stay at Inter with the club’s new manager Simone Inzaghi.
‘I am staying at Inter. I’ve already had contact with the man who will become our new manager,’ he said.
‘Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation.
‘There is also the challenge of doing it again [winning the league with Inter]. I feel good at Inter.’
