Julian Nagelsmann has been contacted by Paris Saint-Germain to take over as the team’s head coach

Christophe Galtier will be fired by the Parisians at the conclusion of the current campaign. Due to their poor performance since the beginning of the year, they want to locate a replacement for the French manager. Even though it’s still April, PSG has already dropped eight more games in 2023 than they did in 2022.

After losing to foe Marseille, they were eliminated from the French Cup, and Bayern Munich then eliminated them from the Champions League. With PSG topping Marseille by ten points, the Ligue 1 championship appeared to be locked up. They currently lead by only six points, though.

If PSG loses its next two games, the organisation will fire Galtier. With prominent players like Neymar and Lionel Messi set to leave, they have already begun plotting a summer revolution. As Luis Campos, the club’s sporting director, intends to change things, several players may depart.

Zinedine Zidane has never appeared interested in the position, despite the Qatari proprietors of PSG’s desire to make him their head coach. Zidane has not reacted to PSG’s interest in hiring him, despite the fact that he will no longer be the coach of the France national team until 2026. The nine-time Ligue 1 winners are now focused on Nagelsmann. The 35-year-old recently parted ways with Bayern and is seeking employment.

The young German boss is also being sought after by Chelsea. Graham Potter was recently fired by the Blues, and a new manager will be in place shortly. The front-runners for the Chelsea managerial position are Nagelsmann and former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique. Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly, the proprietors of Chelsea, are hesitant about Nagelsmann due to his advanced age. A PSG pounce might be possible due to this postponement.
