Frank Lampard to return as Chelsea’s interim manager until the end of the season.

The club legend was sacked by Everton in January and is currently out of work.

The Blues have been in the search of a new manager after Graham Potter was sacked on Sunday.

Julian Nagelsmann is currently the favourite to land the Chelsea managerial gig and has already held talks with the club’s hierarchy.

Meanwhile, former Spain boss Luis Enrique has arrived at London to held discussions on Wednesday.

According to several sources, Chelsea are considering signing Lampard on an interim basis until the end of the season.

The former Chelsea head coach attended the goalless draw with Liverpool on Tuesday.

But Chelsea’s owner Todd Boehly will do a thorough process in search for a long-term option.

‘At the end of my time at Chelsea, I lost communication with important people above me that I should have tried to keep more,’ Lampard told High Performance podcast when reflecting on his final months as Chelsea boss.

‘Like you’re saying, how do you get that long-term vision? Well, you’d better be supported back when it is a bit tough because that’s the reality of football.’
