Chelsea completes their first signing of the summer.
The 29-year old goalkeeper joins the Blues on a free transfer after leaving Fulham at the end of last season.
Bettinelli spent 15 years at Craven Cottage by making 120 appearances for the club and now will provide support to Edouard Mendy and his back-up Kepa Arrizabalaga next season.
His signing comes after the departure of veteran goalkeeper Willy Caballero who spent four years at Stamford Bridge but his contract wasn’t extended.
‘It’s always been a special club,’ Bettinelli said. ‘I know the area very well so it’s been a dream of mine to come over to this side and it’s finally happened.
‘There were some talks a few years ago when I was a bit younger and for whatever reason that didn’t come about but I’m here now.
‘I’m really excited to be involved and looking forward to trying to impress and help the team as much as I possibly can.’
