Mauricio Pochettino needs to resolve two big issues to deliver best in Premier League

Pochettino’s men are sitting in 14th place in the Premier League after five games.

Journalist Paul Brown has explained to GIVEMESPORT two issues that Mauricio Pochettino needs to resolve. The Blues are struggling to impress in the Premier League under the new manager.

The West London club have endured a difficult start to the Premier League season. Chelsea have to improve if they want to qualify for European football by the end of the campaign.

Pochettino’s men are sitting in 14th place in the Premier League after five games. Chelsea have no European distraction this season, which could help them to focus on the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino earlier said, “We need to accelerate all the process, because Chelsea is about to win, and we want to win. But I understand that the process is completely different to in the past. Because we have a different approach to the game and the philosophy and the ideas, (it means) we have a young squad of course.

The Blues invested in the summer transfer window. They now have one of the most expensive squads in European football. Brown adds that the Argentine manager will need time and he should get this right eventually, possibly if they bring in a new number nine.

While talking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said, “They’re not playing badly, but I think the balance isn’t necessarily right and they really lack someone who can be ruthless in front of goal. I think until they solve those problems, I don’t see the form changing massively. Those two things do need to be resolved before we’re going to see any kind of major upsurge from Chelsea. But look, Pochettino is a good manager. He’s been here before, he knows this league.

He also added, “He’s built good teams and he knows how to be successful. I do think he’ll get this right. He’s going to need some time, he’s going to need some patience. If Chelsea fans run out of patience with him before long, that’s going to be a problem. We saw last season that the owners don’t give you forever to turn things around. But I do think that he’s going to need more time than this to get things right.”
