Christopher Nkunku will still be an injury concern for the Blues.

Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino has issued an update on his squad who are travelling to Old Trafford for their 15th Premier League clash of the season.

Summer signing Christopher Nkunku still remains out of contention, although he is expected to be available in the weekend tie against Everton.

Conor Gallagher will serve his suspension after getting two yellows for his fouls on Sunday against Brighton.

Captain Reece James and left-back Marc Cucurella will return from their own suspensions which would be a huge boost for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Pochettino said: “No. I hope Nkunku is back soon but he is not involved tomorrow, no.

“It’s like I always tell you, sometimes we have been excited seeing him on the pitch and have him as soon as possible but we need to be careful. When he is ready, he will be ready.”

Romeo Lavia is expected to make his debut soon but remains out of contention in the midweek tie.

He added: “Romeo Lavia like Christopher is not going to be involved tomorrow.

“Lesley [Ugochukwu] felt something last week and Noni was injured post-match after Brighton. They are minor problems and we hope they will soon be available.”
