£34 Million bid for Brazilian wonderkind Gabriel Moscardo in January

Chelsea Football Club is reviving their interest in Corinthians’ midfield phenom, Gabriel Moscardo, as they prepare to reopen negotiations with the brilliant teenager during the upcoming January transfer window.

According to Brazilian newspaper Gazeta Esportiva, the London giants, along with European powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, are competing for the 18-year-old prodigy’s signing.

Chelsea had previously attempted to sign Moscardo last summer, offering a large £21.5 million fee for the young midfielder.

However, Corinthians rejected the request, knowing that the young star could not transfer to Europe until he turned 18, which occurred in September.

With a probable move accepted, the price tag has risen to a reported £34 million, as newly appointed Corinthians president Augusto Melo sets the bar for Moscardo’s undoubted talent.

Despite Chelsea’s strong midfield, which includes recent signings Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, the Blues are considering loaning Moscardo to sister club Strasbourg.

This move would ensure that the teenager’s development continues in a highly competitive environment, paving the route for a possible first-team breakthrough.

The dynamic situation adds an extra layer of intrigue as PSG and Barcelona join the race, with both clubs demonstrating a propensity for nurturing young talent.

While Chelsea weighs its options, the football world eagerly awaits the resolution of this transfer saga, anticipating where Gabriel Moscardo’s prodigious talents will shine brightest.
