Mauricio Pochettino acknowledge his happiness over crucial win over Crystal Palace

Mauricio Pochettino admired his team for its remarkable comeback.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is pumped after a thumping win over Crystal Palace which helped him boost their ranking in the table. He has acknowledged that he was delighted with Chelsea’s second-half response in the victory on Monday night.

They have been improved and it was their second successive win. They recently beat in-form Aston Villa in an away fixture of the FA Cup.

The Blues were behind in the game with one goal at the first half but Pochettino’s side pulled off a comeback to secure much-needed three points. It was Chelsea’s 13th successive Premier League win over Palace.

While talking to BBC Sport after the game, the Argentine admitted that he left disappointed with how the Blues failed to make any impact in the final third during the first half. He still admired his team for its remarkable comeback.

The Argentine said: “We saw two different sides. In the first half we were so flat and I was so disappointed. In the second half much better and I am very pleased with how we finished the game. We deserved the three points.

“The energy wasn’t the right energy and the intensity we showed was not great. We dominated but we played so slowly and they way we conceded, we cannot allow to give this type of option to the opponent.

“It is a massive win. That is our challenge to be consistent but this type of fixture will help us build our confidence.”
