Chelsea want to part ways with defender Malang Sarr.

The Blues have informed the French defender to find a new club before the summer window closes in other countries.

The 24-year-old defender is not a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans and the Blues want to recoup some cash for the Frenchman.

Sarr was on loan at Monaco last season and had the option to make the move permanent but the French club decided to opt out from the option.

The Blues defender hasn’t been involved since Pochettino took over the managerial role this summer.

The £120,000-a-week defender has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge and offloading him would be the best option for both parties.

He has a contract until the summer of 2025 and has not been able to hold a regular spot since joining Chelsea from Nice in 2020.

The central defence is one area where the current Chelsea squad is fully stacked even considering Wesley Fofana’s long-term injury absence.

The 24-year-old needs to join a club where he will be a regular starter, and it remains to be seen where he ends up this summer.
