Kai Havertz gets applaud from Chelsea head coach Graham Potter

Kai Havertz has scored two goals in his last two games against Dortmund and Leicester City.

Kai Havertz is doing great this season for Chelsea and he gets applause from his manager Graham Potter who hailed the German as “an absolute dream to work with”.

Chelsea have won their last three games with ease and they are finally on the winning track. Havertz played a vital role in Chelsea’s winning streak.

The 22-year-old has scored two goals in his last two games against Borussia Dortmund and Leicester City.

The Chelsea boss has defended his players throughout the club’s difficult period and received the public backing of Havertz after their huge Champions League win over Dortmund.

Havertz spoke to beINSPORTS earlier this month: “We know that the pressure is coming at him. You can see that he’s a big manager. In the media I cannot believe how many people have to talk to him.

“We have hundreds of coaches in England, you know, that think they know better than him! We know in the changing room that he has a big personality and a big manager for us!

“He helps us all a lot, me included, so we are 100 percent behind him. Even though the people don’t see it, today everyone saw that he’s a big manager.”

“He is a confident player but also someone you need to help,” said Potter ahead of their Premier League fixture against Everton.

“I can’t speak highly enough of him. He’s given everything all the time, does his absolute best, takes responsibility, an absolute dream to work with as a coach, wants to learn, wants to improve and gives his best for the team. He deals with adversity in a sensible, mature way and rides out the storm. And inevitably because of the quality he has (as a player) and as a person, he’ll get his rewards.”

Potter was quizzed on where he believes Havertz’s best position is. He replied: “He’s still young and I think he can play in lots of positions. Not quite leading the line but behind the line is probably his best position.

“Although, I wouldn’t rule anything out with Kai because the mentality is really there and he’s got all the attributes to do anything.”
