Kai Havertz signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
The 24-year-old playmaker struggled to make his mark at Chelsea but managed to score the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final against Manchester City.
He became Mikel Arteta’s first signing of the summer window and is expected to be the highest earner at the North London club.
Havertz will help Arsenal after the club secured a return to the Champions League following a six-year hiatus.
Jorginho who joined Arsenal in the January transfer window spent five years at Chelsea explained how he convinced Havertz to make the move to the Emirates.
Jorginho said: ‘It’s very nice.
‘When I heard there was a possibility, I called him straightaway. I said “is this true?” He said “yeah, it’s possible”. I was like, “you need to come!”
‘I just wanted the best for everyone… everyone wins. He wins because it’s a good project for him and it’s going to be amazing for the club and the team a well. So it was a win-win.’
