Joao Felix unsure about his future at Chelsea beyond this summer

Joao Felix makes a bold prediction about his Chelsea future.

The Portuguese forward joined the Blues in January on a six-month loan deal from parent club Atletico Madrid.

He has fallen out of favour with Diego Simeone and wanted a new challenge in the latter half of the season.

Felix has now scored one goal in six appearances and Chelsea have been heavily backed to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Both Diego Simeone and Joao Felix are not on the best of terms and a permanent exit is expected of the 23-year-old forward.

Felix admits his decision to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge may well hinge on Chelsea’s Champions League qualification.

He said: “Yeah, playing in the Champions League is always different. It’s a competition that everyone wants to play.”

“But now I’m focused on this Champions League, on the game. We have a lot of games yet to try to reach the Champions League in the league. It’s not over.

“But, yeah, playing in the Champions League is an important decision, but the future no one knows, so let’s see what happens and then we’ll see.”
