Burnley are keen on bringing Ian Maatsen back to Turf Moor in the New Year.
We are hearing regular updates from Chelsea that Ian Maatsen is not in their future plan and he can leave the club. However, the departure will be delayed.
Chelsea left-back is not planning to make a possible switch to Burnley in the winter transfer window. Burnely has not performed well since their promotion to top-flight. He wants to avoid a relegation battle.
The 21-year-old is fighting for his place under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino. The Dutch youngster is still not finding a regular place in the XI. He has made seven appearances and all of which have come off the bench.
As per the reports of TEAMtalk, the Chelsea man is set to reject the potential advances of a suitor for his services in the winter transfer window.
The report adds that Burnley are keen on bringing the Dutchman back to Turf Moor in the New Year, however the left-back is not so fond of the idea.
Manchester City are also interested in Maatsen. They held initial discussions with the player’s representatives in July.
