Frank Lampard has released updates about Chelsea’s injuries.
Chelsea is set to be without Christian Pulisic, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech. However, fortunately, fans shall be witnessing Timo Werner in action against Liverpool.
“Chilwell is not ready for the game, neither is Christian Pulisic. We hope they will work well during the week,” Lampard told Football.London during his pre-match press conference.
“Hakim Ziyech is also not ready for the game. Werner is fit, though.
“Thiago (Silva) has been training for the last three or four days, but Liverpool will come too soon for him.”
Frank Lampard earlier wasn’t too sure of even Werner showing up for the Liverpool game. Werner had injured himself during the Brighton match.
“He is going to be a real threat. He is a very mobile centre-forward who can do so many things for us. He is one who has had some games, he has a bit of fitness, and you could see that.
“He took a knock when he won the penalty which we hope is a dead leg. I would like to think if it is that we have a bit of time to get him back [for the Liverpool game],” Lampard had said.
