Christopher Nkunku will make his long-awaited return post the international break.

The French forward is yet to make his debut for Chelsea this campaign after completing a £52million move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

He has been sidelined with a knee injury since August and fans are eagerly waiting for his immediate impact at Chelsea once he returns to action.

Nkunku is expected to play a key role in Mauricio Pochettino’s setup and his goal record speaks for itself.

The former RB Leipzig man bagged 70 goals and 56 assists in his four-year spell with the German side.

Football expert Jonathan Johnson expects the Frenchman to have an immediate impact at Chelsea.

Johnson said: “Regardless of Chelsea’s upturn in form lately, Nkunku will be a starter for Mauricio Pochettino once he is fully fit. It might take some time for the France international to get back to his best.

“I suspect that he will have a fairly immediate impact in front of goal as Chelsea seek to make a push for a European qualification spot over the second half the season.

“The Blues need to be wary of recurring injury issues with their summer signing, but he undoubtedly has the quality to improve this team once he finally returns to action.”
