Chelsea would sell Conor Gallagher to fund Victor Osimhen transfer

Chelsea tempted to sell Conor Gallagher to fund Victor Osimhen move.

The Blues are reportedly in the market for a new striker and have been closely linked with Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

Either of the transfers would cost Chelsea in the north of £70m and the club needs to make some sales to facilitate this move.

Conor Gallagher has been identified as the first player to leave with just 18 months left on his contract.

The academy graduate has been a mainstay at Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino and his form has been one of the biggest positives in the team.

He is currently honing the captain’s armband in the absence of club captain Reece James.

The English midfielder has made 22 appearances across all competitions bagging four assists for the Blues and just has over a year left on his contract.

According to reports, Chelsea wants £50m for the talented midfielder with Newcastle United, Tottenham and West Ham all linked with a move for the England international.

The Blues are determined to sign a new striker with Victor Osimhen being on the top of Mauricio Pochettino’s wishlist.
